Space Jam: Influencing and Leveraging Residence Hall Ecology

Housing programs' main commodity is space. When you think about it, a residence hall is a bunch of rooms with people in them. The ways those people interact with the space comprises a residence hall's ecology. How do we influence and leverage this ecology to best capitalize on learning opportunities and meet our educational goals? This webinar will guide participants in exploring their roles in their residence halls' ecology. Welcome to the Space Jam!

Presenter, Mike Schilling

Mike Schilling is the Community Director for Árbol de la Vida Hall and a PhD student in the Center for the Study of Higher Education at the University of Arizona. He is currently the Co-Chair of the AIMHO Assessment & Information Committee and a member of the ACUHO-I Research Committee. His primary passion areas include staff training and development, assessment and program evaluation, organizational behavior, and campus ecology. Mike also serves as the Chair of the Cats After Dark Council at the UA, where he leads a group of professionals and student leaders in creating safe, inclusive, late-night environments for students to engage with. When not at work, he enjoys performing with the Tucson Improv Movement and keeping up with Marvel comics, movies, and TV.
