Committees
Volunteerism is the lifeblood of AIMHO. In addition to contributing to our profession, serving on any of the following committees allows you to develop your professional skills as well as work with others in the region. If you would like to be considered for one or more of the following committees, please follow the link to your left to submit an application. Applications will also be available at the Annual Conference. Please understand that your involvement in any of the following committees must be supported by your supervisor and institution. Your commitment requires active participation, time and financial support.
- AIMHO College: Responsible for selecting and developing the annual AIMHO College.
- Awards and Recognition Committee: Responsible for developing and initiating recognition of regional member institutions and employees for outstanding performance and contributions. Responsible for the continued development of the AIMHO history booth.
- Diversity and Social Justice Committee: Responsible for keeping the region abreast of and engaged with diversity and social justice issues, including but not limited to ability, ethnicity, gender identify or expression, race, religion/spirituality, sexual orientation, and socio-economic status.
- Marketing Committee: Responsible for producing the AIMHO Newsletter, the Angle and for the development of materials that will represent the region
- Program Committee: Responsible for soliciting programs and developing the structure of the annual AIMHO conference. NOTE: Committee members must attend a June planning meeting and the annual conference as designated.
- Research and Information: Responsible for developing regional specific data, surveys and information. This committee also references ACUHO-I Research and Reporting offices.
- SHO Institute: Responsible for developing the regional institute geared for new and aspiring senior housing officers. Committee members ideally are senior housing officers.
