The Mentoring Matters Committee is in search of both Mentors and Mentees for the upcoming academic year, kicking off at the AIMHO 2005 Conference in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.  There are some amazing growth and development opportunities associated with this partnership that we would love everyone to have the chance to experience.  Below you will find criteria for both Mentors and Mentees.  Please carefully read the criteria and fill out the questions on the registration page prior to October 14, 2005 to be considered for this worthwhile program.  You will be contacted prior to the conference with your Mentor/Mentee’s name and asked to fill out a survey to help facilitate initial conversations and areas of discussion.

 

Mentor Criteria:

 

¥ Student Affairs Professional with at least three years of experience

¥ Time and energy to maintain a Mentor/Mentee relationship during and after

AIMHO 2005

¥ Willing to make contact with Mentee once a month for a year to nurture the Mentor/Mentee relationship and share wisdom on critical/current issues in Student Affairs

 

Mentee Criteria:

 

¥ New Student Affairs professional with less than three years of experience

¥ Desire to learn from an experienced professional and initiate conversation on concepts or issues when needed

¥ Willing to make contact with Mentor once a month for a year to nurture the Mentor/Mentee relationship and share individual successes/challenges
