AIMHO Poster Session Information

General Information

The AIMHO Poster Session at the Annual Conference is a great way to highlight any assessment, evaluation, or research that your department is doing to promote knowledge sharing in student housing. Posters are able to convey information in a way that program sessions cannot, so we strongly encourage you to share your projects through this session. Also, your poster would serve as a wonderful resource for building assessment, evaluation, and research competencies throughout the region with the exposure it would receive at the annual session. AIMHO attendees will be encouraged to attend this session, and all attendees and a select panel of judges will vote on the posters as well; the winning poster will receive an award presented at the Closing Banquet.

Poster Topics

Although topics can relate in any way to the student housing profession, we strongly encourage topics focused in the ACUHO-I Research Priorities: Student Outcomes, Student Success, and Public-Private Partnerships. The posters should assist others in learning what questions you were answering, what methodology you used to answer it, your results, and how you used those results. Most importantly, you should be able to show your colleagues how they could potentially use this information on their campuses.

Posters should not be larger than 3' x 4' and should be able to mount on an easel or posterboard. More specifics for displays will arise as the A&I Committee works with the Host Committee.

What is a poster?

If you have never made a poster before, do not fear! The Assessment & Information Committee if here to help. For starters, please look at these two helpful guides for transferring your project to a poster format:

If you have any additional questions, please reach out to the Assessment & Information Committee Co-Chair.
