Greetings from the Land of Enchantment!

My name is Dan Foley, and I'm your new State/Provincial Representative for New Mexico! I began serving in this role this past November at my first AIMHO conference. I had a great time meeting everyone in Denver!

I am currently working as a Resident Director at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces, however, this is my first year in the region. Previously, I was involved in the UMR-ACUHO region while I was working at the University of Wisconsin Platteville.

I live and work in the Chamisa Village Apartments with my partner Zach, and our four "children", who are our three cats, Apollo, Luna and Poseidon, and our dog Scarlett. I am thoroughly enjoying exploring all that the Southwest has to offer, especially the great climate, and love being outside enjoying everything as much as possible.

I am very excited to build new connections across the State of New Mexico over my term as SPR. NMSU is very pleased to announce that we are working on a state-level RA conference, as we know there are many small institutions with housing departments in NM, and it may not be possible for all of these institutions to send RAs to RAppin' in Reno or Boise in the coming years, so we hope that having a conference in Las Cruces will be more accessible to all! Please watch for my email regarding this opportunity.

I'm also looking forward to tentatively working with the University of New Mexico on a state-level drive-in conference for professional staff. More to come on this as I learn more!

If you have any questions or concerns that I can assist with at the state level, please don't hesitate to reach out. I can be reached at 575-646-7134 or by email at foleydan@nmsu.edu.

Best,
Dan
