Idaho Updates!

Hey Idaho!

My name is Zack Eckerdt and I am serving as your State and Provincial Representative (SPR)! I'm new to both Idaho and Boise State, and can't wait to connect with all of you through this role!

As your Idaho SPR my goal is to serve as a liaison for Idaho higher education and AIMHO. I am here to represent the voice and concerns of our membership while also providing updates from the state. If you have news, stories, or information that you want to see on this page to share with the region, or have any questions, please contact me at zackeckerdt@boisestate.edu or by phone at 208-447-1028.

Welcome New Staff!

Congratulations to the following people on either their new position or promotion:

Jeremy Harper

Resident Director

I’m Jeremy and I’m the Resident Director of Towers Hall at Boise State University. I received my B.A. in Mathematics from Reed College in Portland, Oregon and my M.A. in Gender and Cultural Studies from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and I’m excited to now be back in my hometown of Boise, Idaho. While I’m new to Residence Life, I’ve been teaching University Foundations 100 and 200 here at Boise State University for the past three years. Outside of higher ed, I’ve devoted much of my time to anti-violence work–as a courthouse advocate for survivors of family violence and later as a hotline counselor for a rape crisis center. I’m passionate about building safe, inclusive communities where every member has the support they need to be successful. When not at work, you can find me cooking, hanging out with my partner and our dog (George), playing board games, or reading young adult sci-fi and fantasy.
Dustin Hunt

Resident Director

Originally from Laurel, Montana. Dustin completed his B.S. in Mathematics Education from Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA and his M.S. in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming. His passion is to develop and be a part of communities where people are actively pursuing their dreams, and encouraging one another along the way. When not at work, Dustin enjoys spending time outdoors, walking the city, and traveling to new places.

Evan Oglevie

Coordinator for Residential Leadership

Evan is excited to continue in his fourth year at Boise State where he has fallen in love with the University, the city, and most of all the amazing students. His passion for student learning and development started at Colorado State University when he served as a Resident Assistant while receiving his bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies. From there, Evan began his professional career in Student Affairs working as an RD at Western State Colorado University for a few years. He then worked in student programming at Oregon State University while he received his master’s degree in the College Student Services Administration program. When not working, you can find Evan enjoying Netflix, playing games, “nerding-out” to Star Wars, or out on the town enjoying the great food Boise has to offer! Evan looks forward to building another great community, planning some fun events, meeting new students, and overall repping that blue and orange spirit!
